What to do about my overbite.?

I've had an embaressing overbite that has drastically altered my face along with a unbalanced jaw. i'm extremly self-concious about my appearance because of it and since i was in middle school it well......hasn't been easy. when should i look into correcting my bite. ? before i get my braces after i get all four wisdom teeth removed, or afterwards.
