Masturbation - Something embaressing?

Okay so I am a chick and I sort of masturbate on a daily basis. Whenever I am bored mostly. So today morning I woke up and cooked some stuff which involved alot of different spices. I washed my hands and then put some in my plate to have a meal. I was very sleepy so I went to bed without washing my hands. Ahem so when I was masturbating I did'nt remember having cooked anything and when I was done I could feel a burningish sensation all over my ahem area. What should I do? is it okay if I just wash the area with water? :S
