Boyfriend putting <3's when talking to other girls?

My boyfriend was talking to one of girl friends on facebook. He put a heart after they were joking around (like flirting joking around). And it kind of upset me...I know he doesn't have feeling for this girl but it's embaressing to me. I feel like he flirts without knowning it. Should I bring it up to him, or it's not a big deal?
