Is 17 a weird age to have lost my virginity?

I feel really old but glad i waited but people make me feel like stupid for it. But then some people who lost it when they were 15 or so seemed so young and personally i wasnt ready then but i was when i lost it at 17. is this really old though or embaressing? please tell me your honest opinions. Am i weird that i didnt have sex before 17 :( ?
